As the appointed department social chairman, I was given the task of organising an event today for cohesion sake. I came up with the idea of department movie day. Not the most creative idea I have but thats the best I can come up with given limited funding. Anyway, we caught the premiere of SUPERMAN RETURNS. Kinda disappointing because not much action. Hmmmm…(really exhausted but strangely happy).
Had dinner at Samy’s Curry restaurant along Dempsey Road, a place most people will consider to be rather ‘ULU’. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Excellent fish head curry and saffron rice. Not too enthusiastic about its curried squid though. Pleasant evening. Going to bed tonight with fond memories of my life in Australia.

All this laid out on a "traditional banana leaf service" garnished by neo-traditional wet tissue pack,served by waiters who come by individually to apportion you of rice and vegetable dhals .
