My long time secondary school buddies, Chong and Hong made a surprise visit at my place yesterday evening with an assortment of birthday cakes from Bakerzin. Unfortunately, I had to rush for my evening class. Will defintely make up for my inhospitality.
After 10 months of intense working hours and numerous projects, my body finally succumbed to weariness. I am falling sick..fast. Just the night before, my merry team of 5 and I executed a mega cohesion event at Paris Ris Park for the entire formation, otherwise known as G2-Army Time Out. The event took us 2 months of planning and about 6 people to execute. Boss wanted the organising team to be kept to the minimum so that more people can enjoy the event. We started with a finance talk in the morning followed by an Amazing Race themed activity which covers a total of 51 destinations round Singapore. Finally, the day concluded with a fun filled BBQ. The logistics was maddening but it is all worth it when you see that everybody had their fun!!
Sad to say, I had to report for work on Saturday (ya on a holiday somemore). Around evening at 5pm, I know that my body has finally succumbed to long months of strain. Popped two panadols and slept. Didnt woke up until 17 hours later. Hmmmmm..body feels funny now.
Ya I know. I have been inactive in my blogging for about two months. Really appreciated those who emailed me your concerns. Well, I have been really really busy. What’s new right? Since I came back from South Africa working visit, I immersed myself in heavy work and study. My IMF experience was intense but satisfying nonetheless.
Although my birthday is 4 days away, my colleagues were kind enough to kickstart the celebrations. Ha ha, this is a new record. A surprise birthday party. Thought that I was going into conference room for another meeting. Really appreciated it, just when I was feeling low and unmotivated, new inspirations and colleague kind intentions really lifted my spirits.
I was speechless at this moment. Slightly embarassed. All I could do is to stare at my blackforest cake.
Shit! It hit me that I am now in my mid twenties. No more early twenties.
